A wily Scottish driver was pulled over after having only cleared a small “porthole”-sized portion of the windshield of their snow covered vehicle.

The driver was seemingly trying to channel their inner tank driver, and seemed perfectly happy using a forward facing peephole to traverse down the A9 trunk road in the Highlands on Tuesday morning- but Police Scotland were having none of it.

“Winter has been biting for most of us this week, which means it is more important than ever that your vehicle is suitably prepared for the roads,” a Police Scotland spokesperson said.

According to the BBC, the driver -whose gender was curiously obscured with the “they/their” pronoun- was given a fixed penalty notice, which usually involves a fine and loss of driving points on one’s license.
