A California officer is getting a lot of attention on social media, though not in the way he intended.

According to ABC7, Officer Jake Waste was ok with his Upland Police Department posting a photo of him on it’s Facebook page as part of a recruitment ad, but what both he and the department didn’t expect was the number of women hoping Officer Waste would ‘arrest’ them.

One woman wrote in the comments she “will surrender to him and him only, just name a time and place (any good sushi bar will work for me.)”

The department says the ad is doing the trick and hopes that the attention will eventually bring in a few new recruits.
