This bologna has a first name, and if it’s not careful, it’ll have a mugshot too.
The driver of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile learned on Monday that just because you’re famous and shaped like a hot dog, that doesn’t give you a free pass to break the law in the state of Wisconsin.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office tweeted out an image of a cop pulling over the iconic Wienermobile, which they said happened because it wasn’t following the state’s Move Over Law. That’s the law that compels drivers to give a vehicle with its emergency lights flashing an extra lane of space, regardless of what kind of meat their car looks like.
Though the officer likely didn’t relish the chance to detain a famous piece of American pop culture, he mustard up the courage and gave the person behind the wheel a verbal warning. If that driver isn’t familiar with other rules of the road, now would be a good time to ketchup.
