Man shot at 7-Eleven after refusing to give panhandler money

Deputies are searching for a man involved in a shooting Thursday night at 7-Eleven convenience store in south Orlando, according to a WKMG report.

The shooting took place at about 7 p.m. on the 7300 block of Orange Blossom Trail, at West Sand Lake Road, WKMG reported.

The victim was exiting the store when a man approached him and asked for money, WKMG said. When the victim declined, the man shot him, WKMG reported.

The victim drove himself to the hospital, and the shooter remains at large, according to the report.
