An East Bloomfield woman is facing charges for having sexual contact with a 16-year-old boy.
Police say that Lindsey Halstead, 29, was charged with two counts of sexual misconduct and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Halstead is being held at the Seneca County Jail and awaiting arraignment.
Halstead was a teacher with the Waterloo Central School District from Sept. 1, 2014 to Feb. 2, 2018, Superintendent Terri Bavis said in a statement posted on the district’s website.
She then worked for the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District as a long-term substitute teacher from Feb 5., 2018 to April 26, 2019, according to a statement from Superintendent Matthew Sickles.
New York State Police say that additional charges are pending and that anyone with additional information is asked to contact their Waterloo station at 315-539-3530.
