A Brevard County Sheriff’s Office dog suffered a severe reaction while sniffing for possible drugs in passenger luggage Wednesday at Port Canaveral, according to a report by WKMG Click Orlando.

Deputies were investigating the luggage of passengers boarding the Holy Ship! music festival cruise, which features electronic dance music.

The dog alerted handlers to a bag containing white powder, the report showed. Soon, the dog began showing signs of drug exposure. A crew member supplied Narcan, an injection used for those who have overdosed on heroin and other opioids, WKMG reported.

Authorities believe the powder was ecstasy. The dog was taken to a veterinarian and is stable.
