Having manned the paint can protections and trained staff on use of the Official Daisy Red Ryder Range Model 1938 Air Rifle BB Gun, a Massachusetts Police Department is ready for the holidays.

The Dartmouth Police Department shared a parody video featuring members of the department referencing popular Christmas movies.

As Chief Brian P. Levesque walks through the halls, he sees an officer holding a paint can on a string in reference to the 1990 film “Home Alone.” Through a doorway marked “firearms safety course,” officers learn of the BB gun made famous in “A Christmas Story” and hear of the most important lesson in gun safety: “Don’t shoot your eye out.”

A dispatcher mans his desk in green, dressed as the Grinch in a Santa suit, as another member of the department holds a hose from the toilet, a reference to “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”

The department shared the video Sunday, with the message “Whether you’re Home Alone or not, we hope that this Christmas Story helps bring some extra joy and holiday cheer to your Christmas Vacation!”
