Dramatic glasses-camera footage released of officer being shot in South Carolina

The Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office has released intense glasses-camera footage of Estill, South Carolina police officer Quincy Smith being shot by Malcom Orr.

Orr was sentenced yesterday to 35 years in prison after being convicted of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime. The video served as crucial evidence in Orr’s conviction.

The video was from a camera on officer Smith’s glasses, which he had purchased on his own.

  1. Was this officer the Serpico of that force? OMG, it took 10 freaking minutes to respond to an officer down transmission! Even family members got there before his help. That is excruciating to watch.

Another excellent example why Officers are always on edge, as anything can take a turn for the worse in seconds. Comply or die….These Officers have a right to go home each night to their families.

  3. WTF! The response time is amazing. Slow as death itself.
