Florida Sheriff’s Deputy Shot And Killed During Traffic Stop

Sgt. Gary Morales, 35, was shot during a traffic stop this morning. He died later at a Fort Pierce hospital.

St Lucie County Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Morales was just promoted to Sergeant on January 18th after 12 years as a Deputy.  This morning Morales was on a traffic stop when the individual exited their vehicle, approached Morales in his vehicle, and shot him.  Morales died later at a hospital.  The suspect was caught and arrested several blocks away.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
