A NY Department of Health peace officer was nearly raped by an ex-con janitor at the Manhattan Psychiatric Center on Monday.

The female victim -who is an unarmed official with limited arrest powers- was accosted by 43-year-old Tyrone Jordan, an ex-con who has had over 33 arrests under his belt since 1990.

Jordan reportedly approached the woman as she walked to her car on Monday morning, exposed himself, pushed her into her car and attempted to have his way with her. Putting up a struggle (causing herself injuries in the process), she managed to deter him from finishing the deed and caused him to flee.

The victim was treated at a nearby medical facility for her injuries, according to the New York Daily News.

Jordan, who in the past has been charged with assault, public lewdness, criminal mischief, assault on a police officer and robbery, was quickly hauled in shortly after and was arraigned this morning.
