Just a week after denying that Jeffrey Key would be the new Police Chief in Opa-Locka, the mayor and city manager announced that Key would in fact be the new Chief of Police. Key landed the job without any public search or input, for the position. It yet remains to be seen if Peter Cruz will be joining Key as Deputy Chief.
