The Mayor of South Miami is making allegations against Police Chief Orlando Martinez de Castro and wants him gone.  The Mayor is alleging that the Chief violated state rules when he authorized the expenditure of forfeiture funds “inappropriately and without approval” of the city commission.  The Chief maintains that he has done nothing wrong, and is just trying to finish up his 3 year contract and retire after 40 years of law enforcement.   For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
