The Sarasota, FL Sheriff’s Office has asked doctors who prescribe pain medications to have their patients sign an authorization form giving the doctor the authority to break doctor/patient confidentiality and talk to law enforcement and give them records concerning the patient’s pain medication usage.  No doctor has turned in any completed forms so far.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
