Back of house where shooting occurred
Cpl Kenneth Vila was off duty and at home Sunday morning when he heard loud noises. He went outside to investigate and found a subject attempting to break into his home. The subject refused to back down when ordered by Vila and continued to advance, threatening to kill Vila. Vila then fired one shot striking Jean Rosaldo, 20, in the chest.
