Miami Gardens names new Police Chief. North Miami City Manager, Former Police Chief to take over scandal ridden department.

Stephen Johnson, North Miami’s City Manager and former Police Chief, has been named as Miami Gardens second ever Chief of Police.  Stephens is taking over a department plagued with scandals and problems.  Accusations have been made, with videos apparently showing, one convenience store employee being arrested by Miami Gardens police for trespassing as he is stocking the cooler and taking out the trash.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:

    Wrong picture, that uniform was the job he retired from previously, after a long and distinguished career…

    He retired during the timeframe planned long before media frenzy, not resigned amid scandal.
