Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez
A Miami Beach Police Major has been recommended to receive a Reprimand for attempting to influence an officer’s testimony in his ex-brother in law’s DUI case. During a Wednesday City Commission meeting Commissioner Ed Tobin brought up the investigation and stated that he felt that Chief Raymond Martinez was involved in the incident. Tobin says that he either read the allegations on LEOAFFAIRS.com or someone told him. A request was made to Miami-Dade to do a more thorough investigation. Miami Beach City Commisioner Ed Tobin wants his buddy Tom Hunker, that put him through the police acadeney recently, in as Polce Chief. Tobin owes Hunker, Police Chief in Bal Harbor, the favor and would have to get rid of the present Chief first to have another chance at getting his buddy in. Sounds like dirty dealin and dirtly politics to me.
