Corruption in Miami FOP

From the CRESPOGRAM REPORT on 04/11/12…

It seems that Armando Aguilar and Javier Ortiz, the President and Vice President of the FOP have finally come to realize that the constant chatter on the LEO Affairs website for the last couple months about the level of anger that many FOP members had regarding their leadership wasn’t just idle chatter.

Late last month the PBA spent a sizable amount of money to send every single member of the Miami Police Department a detailed letter explaining how Aguilar had been lying to the membership and essentially setting the stage for the members of the force to sign and turn in the Blue Cards that will set in motion a vote to make the PBA the union bargaining agent for the Miami Police Department.

A lot is at stake in such a move, not the least of which is that Aguilar and Ortiz would find themselves no longer being able to cruise around as union reps, and instead would be forced to go back to work as real cops.

In an effort to slow down the process, it seems that Aguilar and Ortiz have managed to block the letters from being released to the rank and file, and instead the letters – all 1000 plus – are locked up the the Police Department’s Mail Room.

That’s a no-no, and in fact, it’s a federal crime.  Mail tampering is not something that the government condones, and I’ve heard that some of the cops inside the department are so pissed that they’re calling the Postal Inspectors to tell them to come and force the Chief to order the letter to be released.

In the meantime, The Crespo-Gram Report is always willing to provide a helping hand, and below is a copy of the letter that the Chief, Aguilar and Ortiz don’t want you to see.
