Chicago Police Department Sergeant John Pallohusky was sentenced to 12 years in prison for stealing over $1 million from the Sgt’s union that he was the president of.  He spent the money on lavish dinners at steak houses and other restaurants, and on a second home.  Pallohusky took a straight up plea, meaning that he has no plea deal with the prosecutor was sentenced to what ever the judge decided.  He faced up to 15 years in prison.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
