Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti has offered a 3 year contract to his unionized deputies and in turn it appears that the union will likely endorse Lamberti for another term without doing a survey of the deputies.  The contract offers no raise in the first year and 2% in years 2 and 3.  Opponent Scott Israel believes that the PBA should do a survey of the entire agency, as well as the other agencies in Broward County.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:

  1. Jim Kimbell says:

Al Laberti has corrupted his employees by offering them a new contract in order to get the union member votes – which could win him the campaign. This is CRIMINAL ACTIVITY. Why would anyone vote for such a clown as Lamberti – unless they are on his payroll.

Especially when you have double agent Lt. Campbell who has been seen supporting both candidates!!! Hmmm, is this a case of brown nosing after being passed over 5 previous times?
