Broward County Sheriff Candidate Scott Israel is now calling on Governor Rick Scott to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate an 11 year old incident in which an individual was allegedly beaten and hog tied by first responders. Israel also says that if he is elected Sheriff, that he will start an investigation into the incident which resulted in the death of a black business man. This is typical Scott Israel. Failing to gain support, failing to talk about his dismal record, failing to raise money, but not failing his past history which started in Fort Lauderdale P.D. when he was in the Organized Crime Bureau to snitch and go after COPS when it benefited him. Israel has no clue how to lead an agency and has no clue on how to invetsigate a police custidy homicide. Scott Israel is a total moron and this little game of playing on the feelings of blacks is pathetic at best. This is the worst example of a Sheriff’s Candidate. He was arrested, accused of shoplifting in police uniform, had multiple police brutality complaints and is not well liked because of his ignorance and arrogants. Say NO to Scott Israel. Look at all his friends. They have been either fired from BSO or Arrested. That tells you about a persons character, Israel has no integrity or ethics.
Sounds like this might be a racist witchunt trying to lynch some white officers.
I guess if you can’t win an election the right way, you might as well act like a looser and try it the wrong way. Again, this is the worst example of a Sheriff’s Candidate. How sad that most Officers wanted to bid on midnight shift because every officer under his command wanted that shift to stay far away from the Chief. I read stories about one officer who was able to escape the organization or better yet “disorganization” dictated by Scott Israel as a Police Chief. He drove 130 miles a shift round trip in his POV to work “SCOTT-FREE” in Palm Beach County until he was able to sell his home in Dade and move his family to Palm Beach County just to escape the “regime”.
I attended numerous B.C.C. Academy in-service classes that were taught by Sheriff Lamberti many years ago. He was then a young and upcoming Sgt. with B.S.O. and became my role model for so many reasons. You could call him any time from the road and he would answer any questions a young officer had. Never once would you hear, don’t call me after midnight; rather he would end the conversation with “If you have any more questions, call me back”. Lamberti’s career at B.S.O. has been a life- long dedication to the citizens of Broward County and his fellow Deputies. Whether taking his turn directing traffic while you took a break at a scene, or standing outside the hospital with his sleeves rolled up ready to donate blood in mid Feb, 1990 after Deputy John “Jack” Greeney was shot outside Church’s Fried Chicken and later died, or again in November of 1990 after the assassination of Deputy Patrick Behan whom I attended Comparative Compliance with in 1986 and Lamberti was our instructor. In April 2003 when Deputy Philip Billings, was shot to death working a detail, the Sheriff stood in line with his Deputies outside North Broward Hospital, or again at Broward General in Aug., 2004 when Deputy Todd Fatta, was shot and killed in Fort Lauderdale, and again in Nov., 2006 when Deputy Brian Tephford was shot working a detail and later died, or who could ever forget that morning of Aug. 15, 2007 when Sergeant Chris Reyka was brutally gunned down? Sheriff Lamberti was there, time and time, again. He was also there in Nov., 2007 at North Broward Hospital when Transport Deputy Paul Rein, was shot and later died, and was also with Blackwelder family after John was killed off duty in a tragic motorcycle crash. Of course who could possibly forget Veteran Deputy Christopher Schaub whom we just laid to rest October 1st, 2012? Sheriff Lamberti was there not only at the hospital, but at night at the family’s home for emotional support.
Think about the hundreds of B.S.O. Deputies that have been injured over the three decades. Regardless of what his rank was, Sheriff Lamberti was there as Al Lamberti. This is the kind of human being he is, and this is the kind of “Cop’s Cop” he is. Now don’t get me wrong, plenty of Deputies tarnished the badge too, and you did NOT want Lamberti there for you if you were guilty.
In closing, whether he was Deputy Lamberti, Sgt. Lamberti, Lt.Lamberti, Commander or Sheriff, he has been there. He has dedicated thirty plus years to make B.S.O. technically advanced and state of the art, and has streamlined this agency into what it is known as today; and that is the Finest Full Service Public Safety Agency in the Country. Why would we ever what anyone else as our Sheriff, The People’s Sheriff? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, SCOTT ISRAEL?
Scott Israel can care less about COPS and this article is the best evidence. Scott will use and abuse anyone not to mention sell them out just like Jeff Marano to get what he wants. This is pathetic Israel. This is the same typical bullshit you been lying about to all of Broward County. You should be investigated for taking money from Scott Rothstein, felon Bailsbondsmans and a host of other New York organized crime ficgures. Your under Sheriff choice Ron Cacictore who was indicted along with his wife, your arrest in Key West and getting being in uniform as a Fort Lauderdale COP accused of shoplifting cologne at the Galleria Mall. Israel does not care about COPS and thats why the PBA, FOP, IAFF and AFL-CIO would not endorse him. He is a fake and tells everyone what they want to hear but has no record to action to back it up!!!!
