Sgt Jim Garber the most severely injured of 3 shot officers in the Gloucester, NJ police station shooting has been released from the hospital. The shooting occurred when during the processing of the arrested subject, identified as Eddie Jones III, overpowered rookie Officer Ruth Burns after she took off his handcuffs and got her gun. Sgts Kevin Thyne and James Garber heard the struggle and went to help Burns. Jones then began shooting at the three officers. Thyne and Garber returned fire killing Jones.
