Two weeks after she was shot, Key Biscayne Officer Nelia Real visited the Key Biscayne Police Department.
It all started back in May. When Key Biscayne Officer Nelia Real pulled over to the emergency lane on the Turnpike to assist with an accident. Then she saw him, right before he shot her through the side window of her cruiser. Today she still suffers from that fateful day, she has glass pop up through her skin, suffers from migraines, post traumatic stress disorder, among other issues. She doesn’t do the things that she enjoys in life anymore. Instead of work, she now spends her days going to Dr’s appointments.
